Successful applicants will be invited to develop work resulting in an installation, interactive project, or performance in our main exhibition space alongside other selected artists/groups. The exhibition space will be available during the week leading up to a Friday evening event for artists to develop work and/or prepare the space.
In your proposal, we need an outline of what you intend to do within the timeframe we offer the space for, what work/equipment will be brought into the space and who is involved. We are open to all media and encourage applicants to give consideration to engaging public response within their proposals.
Please bear in mind that the Scratch Lab is not currently funded and is run by volunteers. Whilst we cannot cover artist fees, travel expenses or production costs Caraboo Projects can help with sourcing accommodation, installation, promotion and some AV equipment so try to let us know what help from us you will need.
The proposed dates for the Scratch Lab are as follows:
Week 1: Mon 11 – Sat 16 March (with a live event/opening night Fri 15 March)
Week 2: Mon 6 – Sat 11 May (with a live event/opening night Fri 10 May)
Please indicate any of the above dates that you are not available in your proposal. Proposals should be 1 side of A4 with up to 10 images and/or video and website links. Email proposals and any questions to scratch.lab@carabooprojects.com
