[Tekst dostępny tylko w języku angielskim] Maya, from the sanskrit, the word refers to concepts of “illusion”. Maya, is the principal concept which manifests, perpetuates and governs the illusion and dream of duality in the phenomenal Universe.
The performance lasts 30 minutes approximately and combines tightly synched digital music and visuals with a phylosophical narrative by Mowgli which questions the nature of reality.
Maya is a constant work in progress with each performance being unique due to the significant improvisational element. It was premiered on the 7th of May 2010 as part of Dark Fibre at the BFI Southbank.

Maya is performed through two MacBook Pros running Ableton Live and Modul8 respectively. Both machines are networked to send and receive MIDI data from each other. A number of MIDI controllers are used to operate both computers.

• Projector, 4:3 ratio • Screen • Video output will be fed through a VGA connection
if the venue’s video system runs using composite or S-video a
scan-converter will be required.

• Both performers will require to be side by side with a table at least 2 metres
wide and tall enough to perform comfortably standing up.
