[Tekst dostępny tylko w języku angielskim] ADA – Informal Collective for the Performing Arts was founded in Rome in 2019 by Loredana Antonelli, visual artist and video director, Lady Maru, techno DJ and producer, and Pasquale Passaretti, actor, playwright and theatre director.
ADA creates multimedia works combining theatre, dance, live music, digital art and experimental cinema. The collective develops projects and performances for theatres, cinemas, galleries and unconventional spaces.
The collective defines itself as informal because of its ability to adapt its artistic approach and composition according to each project.
Its projects aim to establish a dynamic and horizontal relationship with audiences, exploring contemporary issues through irony and clarity of expression.
The Only Constant Is Movement
L’unique chose stable – c’est le mouvement – partout et toujours. — Jean Tinguely, 1966
The visual language of ADA's projects draws on and reinterprets the artistic legacy of Art Informel and the twentieth-century avant-gardes, exploring and pushing their boundaries through contemporary technologies.
Real-time data processing tools enable a multilayered exploration of the relationships between theatre and the body, visual art, live music (EBM and minimal wave), and DJ sets.
