The visuals were controlled just like a musical instrument and by doing so became a part of the band. Real-time applications like this use a lot of techniques which are used for video games. This is why we chose to put the Blender Game Engine (BGE) to the test.
The principle of controlling visuals just as you would to create sound on an instrument helps with getting more in tune with the music and the performance on stage. In a workshop z25 can teach participants to harness the power of real-time engines such as the BGE for non-game purposes.
