The origin of Club Nuclear sprouts from the mind of Alexis Rendon around 2009. With large amounts of musical ideas floating in his head he decides to team up with Alberto Garanton, Ivan Higa, Alfredo Loero, Claudio Leoni, Sebastian Miranda and Margarita Rojas to nurture these ideas and give birth to an electronic music band with one goal in mind. Create fine art!!!! All the members of the band share this feeling and make it their true way of expression.
The band's character and sounds are reminiscent of the 'Ninja Tunes' sample-based music of the mid-90's blended with cinematic soundscapes and live instruments giving it a more "human-like" quality. Like some sort of "mutant jazz band" from the future.
The band is made up of highly talented artists with open minds willing to explore new ways in their commitment to the music and their creative lives. Many of them with more than a decade in music have also participated in heavyweight bands in the Caracas and International scenes like (Babylon Motorhome) and (KP9000).
With airs of Indie, Dub, Cinematic, IDM, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Club Nuclear brings these concepts alive and fuses them with an 'avant-garde' visual collage giving the band it's unique identity on records as well as on stage.
Currently on their way to recording their first Album as a band, Club Nuclear released a 5 track EP called "B612" which will form part of the full length Album to show a glimpse of where the band is aiming at. The name of the EP comes from Hoshi no Osijama's animé (Petit Prince). The name of the Asteroid: B612.
Track Number 02 of the EP: "A Fist Full of Dollars" brings back the old spaghetti western soundtrack featured in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)" by Ennio Morricone. It receives a mind blowing treatment by Alexis and together with the collaboration of the band's overall free interpretation gives this track a lush and distinct sound that will have you pressing the repeat button more than once!
