Motion Tracking and Interactivity
[Tekst dostępny tylko w języku angielskim] Schiphol has a new lounge where you find yourself in a park and meanwhile work a bit or enjoy the birds and (virtual)butterflies.
For this unique project z25, Talltree Labs and Geronimo have made two interactive installations and provided, in collaboration with Marcel Dolman, the soundscape for the park. Within this park at Schiphol Airport two locations are created with interactive projected butterflies that react to your presence. The butterflies are easy to scare away, but if you sit still and watch them quietly they will be curious to come close to you.
The installations incorporate some new mixed reality technologies and self control mechanisms which have been researched and developed by z25.
What we can offer in a workshop is a way of interacting live with an audience or performer without the need for constant human control. Some programming skill required, we can experiment hands on with Infrared tracking mechanisms and means to visualize interaction.
An option to have the butterfly installation working on location is also amongst the possibilities.
