The variations of lights and shadows, generated by individuals within an environment, will shape the sound.
In a candlelit room, photoresistors will perceive the slight fluctuations of light and transform them into sound. This will give life to a completely quiet environment. The presence of individuals within the environment will gradually disturb this stillness, leading to chaos. Individuals will thus tend to move away and everything will return to a state of stillness generating a continuous cycle, metaphor of the world itself.
Introduction
- an innovative blend of art and technology;
- creating an organic atmosphere through candlelight, soundscapes and interactivity;
- engaging social experiences through light sound and movement.
Concept
- modular audio system setup with candles placed strategically in a room;
- integration of photoresistors attached to the walls;
- independent photoresistors provide input to modular systems, generating variations of sounds and lights;
- candle movements create ever-changing soundscapes and light patterns;
- fluctuations result in an organic environment with subtle and sudden variations.
Human Interaction
- observing the impact of human presence on the installation;
- increased intensity and persistence of variations when people interact;
- overcrowding leading to chaotic conditions;
- some viewers will be drawn to the calm, while others may retreat from chaos.
Seeking Balance
- finding tranquility amidst chaos;
- departure of viewers from crowded spaces leads to a gradual restoration of calm;
- delicate variations and soothing ambiance return;
- encouraging reflection and introspection in the audience.
Conclusion
- a captivating fusion of art, technology, and human interaction;
- inspiring contemplation on the complexity and harmony in our world.
